I suppose we have to play another "almost perfect game" (according to our HC) in order to even stay close in this one!?  Rolling Eyes

It's near the end of the first half, the ball is thrown to our player along the baseline in the offensive zone. Ordinarily, he might be expected to dribble along the baseline and throw it out to the corner for a three. (After all, LU has everybody but Asa Packer between our player and the basket.)  Maybe he could throw it back out and start the offense.  BUT,NO, suddenly he takes  one (maybe two)dribble steps toward the basket and tries a two-handed dunk in their faces.  Did it work?  Not quite but almost.  Practically jumped out of the gym.  I never saw Trist, Jackson, or Heinrichs do that exactly.  Extremely athletic (hate using that word) move.
It was Kyle Stout.  I think we have a player on our hands here.  I don't want him just shooting threes.

Bucknell doesn't look great tonight but the Lafayette effort so far is woeful.
Throw in the towel. Down 26 at home with 13:35 left.
What a goddam mess this is.

Non-competitive game,  if it weren't I'd be annoyed because once again, at least at my house, the stream is unwatchable.

Trying to throw one down will land him on the bench.  We consistently have guys over the years over 6'8" who lay it in instead of throwing it down.  A big dunk still gives the team and fans energy, and can be a statement to the other team. It's pretty much always been this way, almost like FOH makes the guys run extra suicides if they dunk.

Its not just in your house. The Lehigh game from Lehigh was perfect......., every game from Lafayette this season has issues. I'm not a computer guru but its pretty obvious the problems are at the Lafayette end.

As to the game, I have season tickets and I'm glad I didn't waste the gas. I am a fan of all things Lafayette athletics but its getting hard. I am hoping we have seen the end of the football difficulties, but we do have 22 other sports in serious trouble.... no exception!!!!

I can't add much insight to the shitshow on the floor so I am going to post a random positive regarding the halftime interview with Harriet Ottewill-Soulsby.

If she were speaking at a meeting - I would listen. If she was interviewing for a job - I'd hire her. If she were running for office, I'd vote for her. I forced my daughter to look up from her homework so she could see how winners present themselves.

Now I'll go back to being PO'd!

O-S was great. I actually was able to watch the interview for once. Poise and intelligence. At many schools nobody would even think "She's an athlete too?"
I feel bad for the Jedi guy. He never knew his plug for Lafayette would become the Gilligan's Island of college commercials.

Aside from Lidner, Klinewski, and possibly Evans, every member of this team needs to add 10-15 lbs of muscle. We get pushed around every game.

Andy - I complained in the survey about the poor quality of the stream.(See my comment today about the survey). I agree. My son who knows about these things tells me that the reason the stream is bad is that it apparently can't handle the number of people who tune in. That is ironic- Too many people are watching! It is a testament to Lafayette loyalists who continue to follow the teams no matter how horrible they play. The least the school can do is accommodate us all online.

Thanks laf and 68. Glad to know it's not just me. I can stop trying to remedy with restarts, cache clearing, etc. Drives me crazy.  The viewer counter peaked at about 335, doesn't sound like an overload. Fix it, LC!

I watched the first half and maybe 4 minutes of the second half (couldn't watch anymore) with no problem at all. On the phone and then airplay to TV and everything looked fine. Issues I saw were on the court

Noticing a trend? Even from  field, hammered from foul line.

Any suggestions as to what the rest of us are doing wrong? Home games completely unwatchable - Ipad and desk top.

I've been using apple tv with my phone on airplay also, it is bad. Perhaps in the second half some people had dropped off.

The Campus Insiders site material (commercials) come in fine.  It's just the stream. Next time I'll switch to another PL game and see if similarly bad.

Agree with Kpard. The lack of strength is obvious. Lindner and Klinewski are strong and physical but huge drop-off on the rest of the roster. Off season thse kids need to get in the weight room.
