I have no idea what the coaching staff should do. The team comes back to practice on Monday after Christmas and have the entire week to prepare for the trip to the "frozen wasteland" in Hamilton NY.

It would be fun for the hoops experts on the Board to offer their opinions. I can make these observations from a non BB Expert:

- They need a point guard
- They need shooting guards who can shoot (unless Anna has a hot night and remember every team we play focuses on stopping her)
- The turnovers are too frequent and often the result of careless play
- The "bigs" often are not in position to rebound
- With the exception of Maya Hood they don't play defense
- Of the four highly touted freshman, only Olivia Gumbs looks like a D-1 player
- I simply don't understand why Ashley Lutz is not playing big minutes. She can rebound and plays defense. She averaged 9 rebounds per game in the PL last year, had a high shooting % and is a superior foul shooter. Someone needs to explain this one.

Ed, you raise issues that need to be addressed and the Lutz question mystifies many of us. We also heard before the season about the excellent conditioning program. I haven't seen any evidence that our players are more physically fit than prior years.

It's almost as if Coach Grentz is punishing Lafayette College for decades of failure.
That's crazy but nothing else makes sense.

I'm hearing that there is some "locker room" dissension. I won't name the player.

Coach Scrooge, are these the images of what must be, or what might be?

Regardless of the ultimate success or failure of "The Process," the product is unwatchable now and not a good promotion of the college.

Lehigh has better freshmen right now.

What the hell, who cares.

Lafayette, you appear to be getting it finally so I commend the school, but you can't make the fans work too hard (and insult them as one employee did publicly after the hiring of Grentz -- very stupid and if that person worked for me, repercussions would have been severe).

Give us something. Competitiveness, maybe a couple wins, and hope.

Otherwise nobody will care.

In many ways we are close to the not caring stage In conversations with students I know, they want to see teams that win - just like us alums.
