Playing Georgetown lacrosse at home actually is a pretty big deal.  Let's see if we can pull one out here.

The first two quarters may have been the best our D has played all season against a good opponent.  They didn't allow the Hoyas many good looks and pressured some turnovers.  We even had a 100% clear rate for the half which was remarkable for this team.  Jake Hyatt played out of his mind in goal and had several plays where he stopped multiple shots in the same sequence.  Tied a half but a couple of costly mistakes put Georgetown up for good early in the 3rd.  EMO was another key as Georgetown converted on 4 of 6 opportunities while the Pards only 1 of 6.  Our offense again looked pretty stagnant and there were many EMO opportunities in which we didn't even get off a shot.  Our guys on offense look like they are afraid to take shots sometimes.  Brian Bock, however, took the wraps off the Howitzer to score four goals.  Greg Rau looked pretty good at faceoff and they seemed to have improved the communication within the faceoff unit.  All in all, this should provide a little ray of hope that at least some things are coming together.  They guys just need to keep it going and take the remaining winnable games.

PardsLax, I think they really thought they could beat GTown.  Probably they could have but 1 for 6 EMO scoring isn't going to get you there.  Defense might be improving but did you see what Lehigh did to Navy?  Pards have a LONG way to go both in skill and scheme on D.

It would appear that Mangan has settled on Jake Hyatt.

No stats at all for Will Heffernan on Saturday.  I wonder what's up there.

Maybe let loose some frustration on poor Marist.
