2014 Recruits

Any comments on the 2014 commitments?

Xboreturns

What does the "E" in the status column mean". Early signing period 11/13 -11/20. Regular signing period 4/16 -8/1. Will we release names after early period or wait until end of recruiting?

Status: E = early (fall) commitment, S = spring commitment, R = recruit, W = walk-on, U or blank = unknown, TR = transfer (check with schools to be certain) E and S are for NLI signers or other formal commitments in D1 and D2.

Liked this from a 2016 commit:

Why did you choose Lafayette? “The reason I chose Lafayette was for the schools excellent reputation, and to be a part of a growing lacrosse program. Coach (Jim) Rogalski is looking to build a great lacrosse program and I want to be a part of that. Lafayette has a great internship/mentor program that shows that the school really cares about their student athletes. After being on campus and meeting with the coaches I realized that this was a great fit for me.”

Recruits McAvoy and Close

Scott McAvoy of Wyomissing, near Reading, PA. 111 career goals and he considered Yale, Penn, Navy and Bowdoin, the Reading Eagle said.

Also Matt Close of Wilson near Reading. He had offers from Bucknell and St. Joe's. Plus interest elsewhere. 54 goals last season.

Nice gets Coach R.

However, unless the comment about "new to Div 1" was very much tounge in cheek.....someone ought to tell him how long we have been "playing" lax.
