2015 Roster

I didn't see any discussion on this, but the 2015 roster is posted on GoLeopards.com.

Barlow is the latecomer - taking Hoffman's scholarship I assume.

So if Fran goes with Scott, Rufer, Linder and Klinewski, who is the other forward (which would be the Hinrichs spot)?

I see no alternative.  I'd have to assume Zalys or Dunkum will be the other forward to open the season.  I think Klinewski will do a better job filling Dan Trist's shoes than many expect (I became more of a Klinewski fan as the season progressed).  Zach Rufer is going to have to do his best Joey P. impression, at least for now, unless someone else steps up big in that spot (Stafford?  A converted Boykins?  Maybe even the newcomer Evans?).

My sense (knowing nothing, of course) is that Rufer expects and embraces the role and that he'll do his damnedest.  (We've seen zilch from Stafford; Boykins really is a PG not a SG; and I know nothing whatsoever about Evans aside from his highlight video).

At the end of the day it is what we have.  We're going to have to stop worrying and start getting behind these guys. We're the defending league champs and that's not for nothin'.

I think this squad, under FOH, might be good for one over Lehigh, two (possibly) over Army, two over Navy, one over AU, one over Colgate, two over Loyola and one (maybe - it's a stretch) over both Bucknell and Cross.

Metro C. can suck on it, of course - until they finally return from whence they came (wheresoever that might have been).  (Oh, Fordham!  Why won't you?  Face it, you belong here, you maroons!)

Boykins or Barlow.

FOH will figure out his rotations. The fact of the matter is that 1/3 of this roster is freshmen so they will be on the court.

We have three 6-10 seniors and they don't even get mentioned. I'm hoping Nate earns more minutes. He works hard in games. Otherwise unless Dunkum gets time we will have close to 28 feet of big men sitting. Last year I don't think the trio of seniors combined for two points per game over the season.
Next year will be an odd one. This team will go as far as Nick's indomitable will takes it.
If Kempton keeps improving we probably won't get close to Lehigh without one of these guys stepping up.

Dunkum and Barlow are a significant upgrade in athletic ability in our front court ,we haven't had big men with this potential. Let's see if they can pickup FOH system quickly. You can see on film the defensive potential of these guy's because of their athletic ability. Replacing the scoring of Seth and Joey  is going to be difficult. I'm optimistic a few of these recruits will help immediately. GoPards!!!

With Nick being a junior, I thought we would bring in a PG with this years class. I really liked Oshea Garrey who participated in last years Elite Camp. Reminded me a lot of Tony Johnson. It appears that we have offer a rising senior PG Eric Monroe from somewhere in southern CA.

Monroe also has offers from Dartmouth, Colgate, Brown and Loyola, and "interest" from Davidson, American, Bucknell, Lehigh, Penn and Cornell.

It would be quite a coup if Fran could snag this kid.

Simply put, the next two years will be rough.

Gairey is still very much available.   Still has no scholarship offers.   Maybe a PG year coming up?

Good for Donovan, good guy. I'm sure he will do well at Princeton.

First Pete Carril, then Matt Panto, and now this.  It's not only a curse, it's a vast, orange-and-black conspiracy.

Good luck Donovan ! He was a 2nd assistant at Lafayette and now a 3rd assistant at Princeton hmmm doesn't seem like a promotion to me? Will this give him a better opportunity to move up in the coaching profession?

Our compensation for asst. coaches is pitiful.

That it is ! I did hear our 3rd assistant only makes 30 k a year, could that be true ouch ?

If you are young and want to move up you can't stay at the same place waiting for someone to die. The more experience you have, particularly with winning programs, the better chance you have to move up.

Absolutely, great move Donovan!

Many of the new position assts are usually low pay young coaches on their 1st or 2nd job.  Very often filled by recent alumni. They rarely stay more than a year or 2,and then move on and hopefully up the career ladder.

Per multiple sources, former Temple GA Jimmy Fenerty will become an assistant coach at Lafayette.

Jimmy reminds me of a young Andy Toole working his way up the coaching ladder, he'll learn a lot from FOH !
Andy

Never noticed this before, last year's seniors listed as Graduate Students on the 2014-2015 roster. Who knew?
