Curious. No Christmas trip.

No far-away games and only one truly out-of-ballpark opponent versus the usual two or three.
Bringing back Moravian is a good move. If there has to be a D3 game keep it local.
I hope BB expansion is over. Adding Loyola and Boston was a terrible move for many reasons and it's limiting OOC games that could be interesting.
Overall a good regional schedule.
I'd like to see Lafayette and Lehigh collaborate on a holiday tournament sometime, if possible.

I like that idea.  If they do so, they should try to hold it at the PP&L Center in Allentown.

A co sponsored tourney would be great at PPL. The LV Holiday Classic Smile

Late to this discussion, sorry.  You'd have to have some teams fairly well-known in the area to be able to draw, I'd think. Pitt, Penn State, Temple, Villanova, Seton Hall, etc.  Ivy wouldn't add much (if anything).
RichH

Agree. Wouldn't mind Rutgers either.

I'd add St. Joe's (and the other, unnamed Philadelphia Big Five/City Six schools) and St. John's to that list too.

I realize the schedule is tentative, but shocked that hoops team is not on the road on the date of the Lafayette-Lehigh football game. Fran ALWAYS takes the team on the road to mitigate risk. You can look it up!

It's not always, there was one time when one of his assistants (I think it may have been Drew) talked him into having the team experience of the Lafayette/Lehigh game . I don't recall the details (I think it was at Lehigh) but it never happened again and probably never will.

There's also no game or games the weekend after Thanksgiving.

The schedule above has at least one error - Lafayette will host Drexel on Wednesday 11/30.

St. Joe's website also has game vs. Pards for Wed., Dec 21 (not Thursday, Dec. 22).

If you would have read the title, I posted a "tentative schedule".  Of course there is going to be changes, that's why it was titled: Tentative. I won't post one next year if it causes so much confusion.

Hey Al, chill.

No one is complaining, people are just notifying others of updates.  I plan on going to the SJU game so I thought I would pass along the change to others.

Post next year or don't post, but whatever you choose make a New Year's resolution to be less of a douche.

Sorry if I came across as abrupt; my comment was not intended to be

"HAH!  You fool, your tentative schedule was wrong!"

but rather

"Hey, I saw another team's schedule and there's at least one difference between the tentative schedule posted and what the actual schedule will be."

For whatever it is worth, I find the tentative schedule useful, and I'm guessing it will be largely accurate.

It's official:

Three thoughts:

1) I'm surprised the Leopards aren't playing a game during the Thanksgiving period this year.  (They are playing the night before Thanksgiving at home against Princeton, but I'm not counting that.)  In some recent years, they've played the Saturday or Sunday afternoon after Thanksgiving (most notably in 2013 and last year both against Penn; I attended both of those games).

2) Where are Temple and La Salle on the schedule?  It sure looks like Lafayette wants to apply for Philadelphia City Six membership, playing at Villanova, Penn, and St. Joe's and hosting Drexel.

3) The Leopards games I'll probably attend this year include:

*01/02 (Mon): at Loyola, 7:30 PM (really wish this was a day game)
*01/18 (Wed): at American, 7:30 PM (could also attend Lehigh/Navy in Annapolis the same night, but AU is much easier for me to get to than the Naval Academy)
*02/11 (Sat): at Navy, 7:00 PM (this one is in the "possible" category; there may be some games in Philadelphia I attend that day)

If you stop by a practice, let us know

Well, Kpard hasn't reported anything new but I reviewed the roster for this season. It's pretty clear that it's going to be the start of rebuilding the team. Of the 15 players on the roster, 7 are freshman., 4 are sophomores, with 2 juniors and 2 seniors.

As of now, it looks like, Boykins, Lindner, Zalys, Evans and Klinewski  may be the starters.  In addition to the 7 freshmen, we are expecting to see Sam Dunkum take  the court.

A breakdown on the freshmen looks something like this: Guards: Janasek, Panzini, Reichwein, and Stout. Forwards: Christian, Jarrett, and Cherry.

Lot of home games this year gives us a chance to see who steps up.

I apologize for not updating, Fran swore me to secrecy!  Rolling Eyes
