GO PARDS!
Bogus Megapardus

Army leads 8-1 at the half.  27 shots for Army; just 6 shots for Lafayette.

Up 15-5 with 3 minutes left in the game, Army puts in a backup goalie.

Somewhere, Terry Mangan is getting the last laugh.

And that's all she wrote.  Pards lose, 15-6.

Agree - nice start to season and NOTHING after that.  Very disheartening.

Not sure I see another W on the schedule and the way they are playing likely dont deserve it either.

I had thought this might be a game the Pards could surprise some people.  It was.  It was surprising how bad they looked, the worst I've seen all season.  Lafayette were completely outmatched in every facet of the game.  The defense looked slow and disorganized against the Army studs who had a lot of chip shots.  The offense just wilted under pressure from a bigger, stronger, faster Army defense leading to multiple turnovers and failed clears.     I agree that this team might not win another game this year.  High Point was supposed to be another Wagner-type game on the schedule but I guess we'll just have to see how the boys regroup after this bad loss.

They're at High Point Wednesday night.  High Point is one of the very few teams that might be worse than the Pards.

When I was a student, it was universally accepted that once Bill Lawson left the program would take off.  Whether or not "Ski" gets it going only time will tell, but unless Mangan was the worst X and O coach on earth (don't know if they do X's and O's in lax) - Ski was going to struggle for a while.

I spent the week on jury duty with a gentleman who was an assistant coach at a couple of DI schools who is very high on our coach and is confident he will be able to recruit a high caliber of player.

For now we'll just have to live with the memories of those 3 weeks in 2010 when the program seemed to have finally broken through!

Naturally, Coach Rogalski must be given the opportunity to succeed with MLax and in the increasingly competitive PL.  It's pretty clear now that the PL is stepping up the profile of MLax and we can only hope for Rogalski's success.

Rogalski had the freshman, Ben Falcone, in goal at Army.  Jake Hyatt has been the starter and he's a solid DI player.  Anyone know if Hyatt is injured?

I interviewed a current student for a summer internship who was on the team  until last year.  He told me that Rogalski has really stepped up what is asked of the players this year. It was clear to him that he could not do both (lacrosse and engineering), so he quit the team.  A good sign for the team?

Hyatt was sick and should be available for the High Point game.
