I was hoping for an 8-6 regular season in the PL and we have 3 of our 4 last games at home---so it looks like we gotta hold serve to make that come true.
To say this was an uninspiring performance puts it mildly. We did show some fight and cut a 17 point deficit to 4 in the second half but then a terrible foul ended the comeback (in no way am I blaming the person who committed the foul, the announcers seem to think it was intentional and couldn't understand why).
But we had 13 first-half turnovers, we looked flat--like Navy should lay down for us. I know Jeffery Sinclaire will not like this phrase---but there was no "sense of urgency"...we played like it was a scrimmage. We pulled the same crapola in Hamilton on Wednesday==we're just lucky they suck.
We really don't have much to answer Consendine. 6'3 with range...Freshman...OUCH. She's gonna be a pilot. That's pretty cool.

I still believe we can take 3 of 4 to end this thing in good shape, but we need the focus and we have to get back to SCORING. We only took 42 shots tonight--we need a good 10 more.
For most everyone on the outside----and our PR department, this is going to be considered a successful season no matter what happens from here on out. NOt me--we finish below 7-7 in the league and don't win a first-round game I'm going to consider this season a major disappointment.
Of course I don't matter for beans---I'm just a fan.

We need to start scoring more points. Four of our last six games we did not get out of the 40s. We seem to spending too much time looking for the perfect shot or the perfect backdoor cut.
We also need more bench productivity both in minutes and points. Three players with 35+ minutes is three too many. Lets wear the other team down rather than being worn down.

I'm assuming Jackson is injured because they aren't finding ANY minutes to rest Spicer as she's played 77 of 80 minutes in the last two games against the leagues two weakest teams.
That is unsustainable. Not for the way she plays. Not for anybody.
Up until recently we had one of the leagues most potent offenses--it's the same players, we just gotta tweak, not overhaul.
