American Loss

No comments this morning ? The game with American last evening was stupefying. As soon as I saw that American was 0-6 in the league I knew this game was trouble. This was a winnable game that was just plain blown. The Pards lost to a one man team who has tormented them for years notwithstanding Leone's prattle about Fran's familiarity with the Princeton Offense. He should also be familiar with Jesse Reed who has been tormenting the Leopards for at least 2 if not 4 years. This was an American team that scored only 54 points a game until they strafed the Leopards for over 70.

I think this is what growing apathy looks like.  Might be short term memory vs. last year, and might not be wholly fair, but I think the ongoing culture of losing has many of us a bit down and numb to losses.

Couldn't watch the recording until late last night. Looks like Mr. Hyde showed up at times. I knew we were in trouble when the AU player heaved in the 3/4 court buzzer beater at half. Really? That crap seems to happen to us all the time?!
FOH wanted to go big and make them match up, but, we couldn't get any production out of anyone inside except Klinewski.
They went over 70 because we don't defend for 30 seconds. If we did, like other teams, they would have only scored in the 50s.
Here is a prime example of what the NCAA is trying to get rid of. AU worked and worked and worked the clock and then takes a shot with 2 seconds left and makes it! So, if you can make a shot with 2 seconds left, why can't you shoot with 24 or 20 seconds left!  Confused
Major snow forcast will impact the Saturday meeting with the Brown ones.

Monty led the team in 1st half scoring. Opened the second half with a nice bounce pass to Matt who blew the layup. Monty then loses his man on the back cut, pulled never to return. 18:44.

ANOTHER end of 1st half basket by the opponent. This time 2 of our big men jog up court NEXT TO the shooter, who makes a 3/4 court shot. Just a little effort and that doesn't happen.

Turnovers, many while dribbling.

Where is Steve for analysis? Miss him...
