Amy Tran current US National Team Goalie hired has FH asst
Announced today on goleopards. She is recognized as the best in the world. Played at UNC and was of course a first team all american. Great hire by the new field hockey coach!! THis should help in recruiting as well.

I assume she has no coaching experience and that this is her opprtunity to break into coaching. From the games I've seen, goaltending has not been a problem (I did not see the AU game). The freshman Anderson has looked very good as someone pointed out in a previous post. Nevertheless, her connections should be helpful in recruiting.
The question is, what does this mean for Jen Stone? Was she just filling in for one year? I'm not even sure if she's part-time or full-time.
Lafalum
Jen is full time and still asst coach. Amy will still be with the US team but I don't think they have qualified for the Olympics yet. We now have two assts the max allowed by the NCAA.
