Anyone got a sniff on recruiting?I'd settle for a rumor on the hoops front. I understand the next window does not open until mid-April but we have to have some clue about potentials beyond what we have seen? Anything....?

Well, Rivals has a new name on our list--Taurance Townsel, 6'8" 265, PF. Lee Junior College, Texas
His list--LC, American, Montana St.
7.1 ppg, 6 rpg, led the league in blocked shots, 38% free throw shooter

If we are dipping into the JC ranks (and I am hoping thats an aberation not a trend) at least we re fishing for help up front - although that FT percentage is a bit scary. Fits the part of a rebounder, and shot blocker on a team where scoring's coming from outside. Doesn't speak positive volumes for other possible signings.

It's interesting to see American on the list. They've already signed two Juco's and may end up with a couple more before it's over.

Heck American IS the JUCO of the Patriot League...

I DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT want a JUCO transfer on this team. That's an insult to our school and gives fodder to the argument that scholarships would lead to a decline in the quality of student-athletes.
Sick as it sounds---I'd rather lose. Don't bring in mercenaries.

Silence on that front and rumors on Hines (meaning one more scholarship could be in the mix??) - suspect next week if history holds true.

LM, Josh Robinson averaged 22 pts per game in an injury plagued season at Susquehanna this year including 52 in one game.
Despite graduating HS (my HS) in '02, he was just a junior this year. Out of high school he was offered by Memphis, Penn, Lafayette, and chose Drake. Supposedly, he transferred here a while back, but left shortly thereafter. I don't know the particulars.
