Bucknell post game...

Well...that was an interesting one. Lafayette has a first halfthat is almost as bad as the second half was solid. They'll need to play whole games from here on out...that's for sure. That being said the Leopards did what they needed to do to win this one in convincing fashion.

I'll say this...I didn't realize that Lafayette had so many high profile kids out with illness or injury. That will effect a team for sure. Perhaps that is the reason it took so long to get on track. Great game by Curely, the receivers and the Defense.

Now on to a Colgate team hat looked VERY beatable. GO PARDS!!!

By the way...nice to see some significant time for some freshman in the 4th quarter. Vaugh Hebron looks pretty shifty! I'd say the future is bright for the Leopards.

So far,  Dom and Skelton have kept the spotlight off Curley.....and we have surprised defenses....I think that is coming to an end...

This is a very well rounded team....just need to concentrate on not giving up the big play and they can win out....

In this day and age of film and instant information how can we surprise teams? Shame on the other PL coaching staffs. I guess Curly is amassing yards (at an alarming clip) quietly and with less flash. Despite the outcomes there are still coaches who are saying "We'll make Curley beat us". Great...I hope they continue to do it. If HC has an achilles heal it is their pass defense. That could play in our favor. Not to look past Colgate.

Would love to have a recording of Stan Clayton at halftime today.  Let's just say that the bumbling lard butts of the first half were...um...focused in the second.

Sorry Carney...but on behalf of "bumbling lard butts" everywhere I must comment...those lardbuts not only bench at least 3 times your body weight I am sure they could also cover 40 yards a lot faster than you can or ever could. Sorry but once a bumbling lard butt always a bumbling lard butt. I felt compelled to defend my fellow big uglies. And yes...they looked much better in the 2nd half...as everybody did.

They not only "looked better," they appeared to be on some sort of mission.  There was some fist pumping and emotion that is unusual for the forgotten grunts of the trenches.  As I said, would love to have a recording of Clayton's halftime "pep talk," expletives included of course.

Is it me or is the "let's force Rob Curley to beat us" strategy a bad one?

He's now on pace for 2,800 yards...well rather than go through all the numbers I'll just say he's on pace for one of the best seasons EVER by a Lafayette QB. I think the debate on whether he should have gotten his position back after the injury last year is more than over...

Biddle's a bit smarter than the average bear (And a hell of a lot smarter than Landis who for my money is the worst coach in the league hands-down)---I'll be curious to see how he approaches the game.

It sure is. From what I hear his dad goes to the games too.

Great win, we are staying on the course. Can't wait for Saturday!

Go Pards!

Anyone know why Eachus only had one carry for 4 yds. vs the c-squawks?

There's a bit of a debate on this over at the Cogate board. Somebofy is suggesting that it may have been a disciplinary thing. They are suggesting that he may have missed a meeting as such he was held out of the first quarter or first half. Others say he was dinged up in the HC game. That doesn't make as much sense since he did play...just not the whole game. Who knows? Is it me or is he not having the kind of impact I thought he would this season. I'm not following Colgate closely this year so I could be way off. I just expected Eachus to dominate league headlines and I'm not really seeing it. Nevertheless...we ignore him at our own peril. He's a hell of a talent.

Like 94 I'm not really following these guys, but it appears that the combination of the early season injury to Eachus and the emergence of freshman RB Jordan McCord have moved Eachus out of the spotlight and into split duty or even a support situation.  Perhaps he would be willing to sit out a year and transfer to a program that would give him the proper respect.

McCord is a 2nd year. Your football knowledge is really sparse.
carney2

Sparse?  Thank you.  Most people on this board would rate it closer to nonexistent.

He does.. I spotted Vaugh at the Libery game.  Guy is still in tremendous shape.

Unleashing McCord and Eachus in the same game places us in an even worse predicament. Hope biddle doesn't do this...
