Buzzer beating win over MonmouthNice win for Tammy's gang with Van De Venter making a game-winning layup at the buzzer. Good show.

I only was able to see the first half. Frankly, I am somewhat impressed. Monmouth had already played a game, and had beaten the Pards by 17 last year. I liked seeing two freshmen in the game early and, at one point, three were out there. A program that's been this bad needs to turn the page.

Great game last night, close all the way, played with a lot of energy and enthusiasum by both teams. Foul trouble forced Coach Smith to go to the bench early and often. The offense was agressive most of the night and only ended up throwing up last second shots 2 or 3 times.
The three freshman all played although Wright and Virgin got the most minutes. All three are athletic and run the floor very well. They are not afraid to shoot and take the ball to the basket. Yes, they took a few bad shots but they will get better with experience.
It looks like we will be able to go 10 deep without much of a drop off. The depth also gives us the ability to be agressive on both ends of the court. Team is at Cornell on Thursday and back home Saturday night.

What more could you want? Great enthusiasm all the way around, confident freshmen, a deep roster!
This BETTER be a good year---we have the team for it.

I was at the game--I'm sure they mentioned it on the telecast.
What's up with Garner?

Well, she had mono and was just getting back in playing shape now she rolled her ankle when she landed on someones foot in practice. Purr injured her knee in a fall during the game but seemed to be OK as she left the court at then end of the game.
