Coaching change

I'm hearing that number one assistant Kim Foley has taken a job with a former teammate who just got a head coaching job. Also heard she is being replaced by a former WNBA player. Should be a press release shortly with more details.

Wonder who.

Lots of shifting around this week.  I see that former assistant Jen Wedo now is at W&M, for example.  Excellent for her.

And here's an article about former HC Tammy Smith -

My thoughts, the Dartmouth head coach retired at the end of last season, the new coach brought in her own assistants. One of the former Dartmouth assistants was Yolanda Griffith. She played professional basketball for 10 or more years, including some in the WNBA. I believe she also played on a couple of Olympic teams.  She would be a good get since she was a post player. I think the financial year begins on 7/1 so we probably won't know for another 10 days.

Way to do the research, Xbo.  Impressive.

sounds terrific...I really think this group is not far away from having an impact on the league. The league is also fairly balanced.

I'm impressed with what I read about her, especially the part about footwork (the most underrated skill in almost every sport)
Kpard

Bio does not state where she is originally from or where she played her college ball. Anyone have that info?

They sure as hell blew over her 9 seasons in Easton. Word is she was pretty PO'd at her dismissal (second-hand info, but pretty good source). Would love to know what she expected.

Either way - looks like she's found a nice gig and that's good to see.

We have to figure out why we can't win after groundhog day.
