Coaching Change

Lafayette Assistant Coach Pat Doherty has resigned from his position at Lafayette to accept a head coaching job at a D3 school. LCLF is gathering additional information.

Hmmm. We lose our minds #1 hoops assistant and there is radio silence?

Best of luck Pat. Thanks for you contributions to our program.

There was a facebook post with a link to an article on GoLeopards shortly before noon.  He's going to Haverford.

It seems LC basketball teams were much more successful when he was an assistant coach.

Congrats and best of luck to Coach Pat Doherty. I'm so used to seeing him in his usual spot at the end of the bench; he'll be missed. Haverford made an excellent choice.

He's an executive with the sports division of Rice Cohen International, a search firm.   I imagine he's making a lot more than he did as an assistant at LC.    Since it appears he is unlikely to ever get another head coaching job, I would be very surprised if he was interested in taking a lot less money to return to coaching.

Thanks, 137. I'm not familiar with the search firm but it seems like O'Connor is in a good spot.
