E amail to the StaffI have heard from inside the school WEis has sent an email to the staff that there will be modest constraints on the budget next year but they will not alter their hiring decisions or spending priorities. I WILL get a copy of the memo but it looks like reality has not yet arrived on the hill! It has in the rest of the country. They don't call it the Ivy Tower for nothing.

If there are cuts coming, you can bet it will be athletic budgets first-not redundant staff.

I can understand continue to hire faculty since many of your future academic programs are dependent on some of these hires. But there should be a freeze on administration hiring.
