FH announces class of eight.

Several girls from good winning programs. One had committed to Uva and changed her mind to come to Lafayette. There are two Dutch girls. It is the largest class for Stone, and the largest class in PL this cycle. Looks very good!!
Welcome to all!!
It looks like she filled every need, defense and several scorers and depth at goalie.

This is legitimately exciting.  We won't know for sure until the season gets started, but with Magadan's international experience and this tidal wave of recruits, it can't help but raise the prospects for this team.

What Coach Stone needs now is another strong Assistant to help get this all tied together.

Here is Rappolt's post with video of our two Dutch players

I understand a new asst is selected and accepted. She has national team credentials and international experience.
Rosa's aunt according to the article was an all american at UNC and I believe was named to the ACC all 50 year anniversary team. Sara Park it is reported on a field hockey recruiting site originally committed to UVA and changed her mind this fall because she wanted a strong engineering education.

Well, the hits keep on coming, don't they?  This program really appears to be on the rise.

I am hearing potential visa issues......maybe its time for Lafayette to get a new attorney. Whoever they are using is useless.

I know nothing about your situation.   But Bucknell had a somewhat similar situation a couple of years ago.   When Charles Lee left his assistant job to become a coach for the Atlanta Hawks, Paulsen hired Bryson Johnson to replace him as the #3 assistant.   Bryson was in place in a Bucknell office for a couple of months but couldn't get the necessary government paperwork for the position.   They ended up hiring Ryan Ayers (Cam's brother) for the job when it became clear that they were not getting anywhere with Bryson.   I know Bucknell hired a law firm that was supposed to be among the best anywhere to work on his issues - but it still didn't work out.

Bryson is now a graduate assistant under Paulsen at  GMU.

Sounds like a very similar situation. As a graduate asst I assume he is not considered  employed but a student. Lafayette had issues with their asst last year and he was not able to coach until the last game or two. The position has been vacant since the beginning of the year. They should have been advised this was a long shot by the lawyer. The confidence in the attorney was misplaced. Fire him and move on..... I hope.

I hear rumblings that the new assistant coach has been added.  Can anyone confirm?

Also, it's my understanding that she isn't foreign, so this couldn't have been the visa issue.  Is this Plan B?

She is indeed an american and a current Division one asst. ( goalie background).  A good hire in my opinion. Experienced and has documented good results!!

The foreigner couldn't get a visa. I like this hire and I think we are better off to be honest.

Just out of curiosity, do you know the foreigner who was under consideration?
