FH - Delaware

Was Delaware that good or were the LC players still celebrating the win over Boston?  5-1 is a beatdown.

Little of both. Delaware scores an average of 4.2 a game and gives up 1.25, and they play a quality schedule. Yea they are good.
If I had to choose  I'd pick the way it came out.

Now to Colgate, these are one of those games we must not lose. Colgate seems to always play us tough in Hamilton. We must have this game!!!

Colgate has now lost 10 in a row, including a loss to Holy Cross and a 9-0 beating vs Boston U.   No matter what the history - and two of the last three games there have been easy LC wins - I'd be very surprised if LC doesn't win this one very easily.

I have no idea how Fotos has kept her job at Colgate for all these years, despite her being an Associate A.D.   True, they spend significantly less than American, Boston, and Lafayette on the sport - but the disparity is not enough to justify the ineptitude of the program, and they do have some scholarships.

Stone played a lot of the younger players, especially in the first half. Plus we had one goal overruled because it was too high????

According to www.lafayettefieldhockey.com and looking at the stats on go leopards Lafayette substituted 8 players but was subbing at double the rate of Delaware during the game. The second half was better.
The Colgate goalkeeper today was forced to make 27 saves on 41 shots in their loss to Rider this afternoon.
in Colgate's 9-0 loss to Boston last week they had the score tied 0-0 at the half.
By the way, every PL team lost today. Bucknell to Monmouth, American to Princeton, Lehigh to Georgetown, and BU 5-1 ironically to UConn in Boston.
