For Your Viewing Pleasure

Hi Group - just wanted to pass this on - one of Tammy's incoming freshmen will be playing in the AAAA state final tomorrow at 6 on PCN.
Her name is Manning and she plays for Cardinal O'Hara.
Enjoy!!

She certainly is "google friendly"....No trouble finding out about her!

Mt Lebanon  completed an undefeated season by downing Cardinal OHara 67-58. According to the announcers, OHara was ranked #1 in the country and all five starters are going D1. I find the first part of that statement hard to believe.

As far as Manning, she had 7 points in the first half and sat out the last 4+ minutes of it with 2 fouls. OHara ran a couple of nice plays for her early on with her getting short jumpers after coming off a low screen. She did get beat defensively a couple of times by a player dribble-driving to their left.

OHara had a two point lead with about 2 minutes left in the third quarter when their 6'4" C Holzer (Vanderbilt) went down with an ankle injury and did not return. Mt Lebanon took the lead and made their foul shots over the last 2+ minutes.  By my count Manning was 1 for 5 on threes in the second half.

Couple of interesting sidenotes: 1. Former Lafayette shotclock operator Rick Leamon was one of the three district 11 officials who worked the game. 2. The PA announcer was former Patriot League staff member Chris Petterson who no works inPenn State sports nformation department.

As usual, the PCN announcers were homers for the WPIAL teams.

Do you think she looked like a D-1 player?
