Freshman Orientation

Dropped my son off at Lafayette yesterday. Met several other incoming lacrosse players. Nice group of of guys. Saw two defenders that are roommates and each one of them is 6' 5" 210 lbs. Will be interesting to see what a semester of college weightlifting does for them.

Congratulations on your son's admission to Lafayette and his first day on campus.  Because this is Lafayette, he'll consider it "home" within about a week and forget that he ever lived anywhere else.  You will become a stranger that he calls on occasion, when he "needs" money.  Otherwise he now has a new family.  Them's the facts so you might as well get used to it.  Rolling Eyes

You and your son could not have made a better choice.  We alums are honored to have him and we look forward to watching him in action.  Just one word of caution; Lafayette is not an easy school. The academics can bury any athlete if he lets lets them.  Your son is very bright, otherwise he wouldn't be there. But organization and time management are the crucial keys to success for any Lafayette athlete.  It helps to stress that especially during his first year.

GO PARDS

EDIT - just out of curiosity, to what dorm was your son assigned?  Folks here can give you the inside out about any place on campus.
