Cannot make it work in my schedule. Anyone know how much the tickets are being offered through the ticket office and where they are located in the arena? Just curious.
LC Local Fan

$104 per ticket. $40 fan bus.  Do not know where seats are located. Will call in Pittsburgh.
Kpard

Thank you. Cheer loudly!

Beat Nova!
NotGordonAustin

Congrats on the win. Lindner was sensational and deserved MOP.

Go kick Villanova's butt.
Lafalum

Driving thursday bringing a Maroon shirt and O-zone tee shirts just in case.
jonnymo

Changed hotel. Hampton inn downtown. Good location and breakfast. Got 2 tix through Friends of Lafayette bball. 79 but up a level from the 104 tix. That was all that was left.  I will take it. Cant wait.

Someone on Villanova's board is curious why they haven't seen any Lafayette visitors over there yet.  http://villanova.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=1159&tid=179544082&mid=179544082&sid=1000&style=2
I made an account, but it seems like you can't post on their board without paying $8.33/month?  Screw that.

Villanova people, feel free to drop by here to say hello.  Our forum is free.  New accounts need to be approved by the moderator, but he's usually pretty quick.

Edit:  Never mind.  The activation email took a while to show up.

Wow we sold out our allotment?

There were two sections we were allotted. Selling well.

This board should be a money maker for athletics at the College (notice I didn't say Athletic Dept).  You get 100 free posts and you're shut down if you don't pay (let's say) $250 to continue above that level.  Money goes into a "board pot" and is distributed to a deserving sport or sports by end of year vote.  If one can prove he (or she) is already giving at that level or more (Marquis Society, for instance), then no problem. You don't have to pay.  Point:  No skin in the game, no opinion worth listening to.

That's the exact mentality of our beloved BOT.  That's an excellent philosophy. As an aside, it's a shame that people with assets less than $1 million and don't own property have a voice in how the country is run.

The pot is called the Maroon Club and probably all of us donate.
bethlehempard

Hah! I love the aside.
Kpard

So, do you think the Dung would have sent out the press release announcing their 2015 football schedule if their Bball team was in the NCAA tourney? Not getting any local press in the LV this week?  Razz

With a limited window for a spring vacation, we planned around the PL Tourney, but not the NCAAs.  We'll be screaming at a tiki bar big screen for sure.  Have a day Pards!
Pard4Life

If we somehow win this game, I nominate Andy and c2 to be our national spokespersons handling all media requests.

Of course! Yankee Stadium? Two sections at the NCAAs is nothing!

As a track athlete doing 220 hurdles, I used to get those cramps - mostly in the right calf.  They said it had to do with my gait which favored the instep/ball of my right foot and stressed the inside calf muscle unevenly and forced me into an odd landing.  At one point the trainer had me running practice in bare feet to try to correct it. Whatever it was, it was very irritating and painful - but it didn't last (until the next time it happened).

When I started running marathons, a runner's massage therapist (who was excellent) prepped me in the days prior to the race by running a rolling pin up and down the calf.  The treatment was excruciatingly painful but it worked.  No more cramps even after mile 22 (where the rest of me hit the wall).

Best of luck Joey.  We need you!!!!
Bogus Megapardus

Joey arrives in Pittsburgh.  Biology outline in hand? Laughing

Looks like the paper says "Villanova" on it.

Is anyone aware of any place in the Chicago area where Lafayette alumni and/or fans may be gathering to watch the game on Thursday?
ed65

The New York Chapter of the Alumni Association is sponsoring a viewing party at the Joshua Tree Sports Bar 513 Third Ave between 34th & 35th.  We will be cheering loudly for the Leopards.  Be there NYC Alums.

I have no answer to your question, but I love your online handle.  One of my top three all-time western movies.
Pard4Life

What's the line? 22?

Was looking Pomeroy stats... we are nearly dead last in the NCAA in defensive efficiency. Meaning, points per 100 possessions. It was 113. The top teams were like 86 I believe.

Offensively, we are 40th.

If we had just as capable of a defense, we would have something really special here.
NewXbo

We need more positive posters like BillS. The hell with defense, lets outscore them.
