Is Frank being coy or is there a meltdown in the sports information department?

Might as well be post game notes at this point.....
From ET piece it does sound like its the somewhat underweight Scott Biel starting with the 4 Srs. Who is the FB behind Cummings - I assume Ferber - any other guesses?

Isnt Biel listed as a DL? He is also listed at 255, but he could easily be up to 275-280 as the weights arent always updated in a timely manner. SInce he is a former DL he is probably quite athletic and may trun out to be a very good player

I'm 90% certain that the Mourning Crawl listed Biel at guard. I am 100% certain that they listed Ferber as the starting fullback.

He is listed that way, yes. Suspect he can (or has) bulk up a bit, and hopefully he is good athlete as you allude to.
Think it was Carney or Andy who mentioned it last week and I think ET piece this morning "confirmed". Not a particularly great sign, but indicative of our lack of depth this year and concerns for next.

Here's to hoping Ferber and ALL of the OL stays healthy....not sure the 5'8" guy behind him will be all too helpful with opening holes for the other four to run through.....not a good sign.
I assume Cummings is hurt and not gone walkabout with Butt and Rivas.

Is this the strangest off-season ever? Rivas gone, some speculation as to a concussion, but has anyone been able to confirm that? Hall, the backup FB as late as the scrimmage, off the roster a week before a chance to start. Cumming, the incumbent, on the roster but mysteriously not starting. Ferber leaves the team, asks back, and is starting. Down to a 5-9 freshman TB as the backup. Very, very weird.
Website video of the game week presser has Frank being asked about anyone else out due to injury. He kind of hesitates and says no one due to injury, thereby opening up speculation as to out for other than injury. I now assume he meant Cumming. As usual, little info is provided and we're left to guess.
I was beginning to think game notes were a victim of the budget crisis.

no game notes, budget crisis. Does this remind you guys of past forks in the road for football? I sincerely hope not. We need you in the PL as a strong rival.

It was a joke! As to past forks, there are guys here way more qualified to say than I, but this feels purely financial while in the past there were other forces at play. After all, we have been in a period of unprecedented success in (and support for) football with the three championships (easily could have had another last year IMO) and 5 out of 7 vs rival, and I'm not aware that attempts were being made to scale back. As I say though, there are others more qualified.
