GoLeopards.com - New Design?

Did somebody just redesign the entire GoLeopards website without telling us?  Why, the sheer audacity of doing such a thing without seeking the input or approval of this Board! Shocked

It looks slick but some of the familiar features are hard to find.  It will take some getting used to.

GoLeopards has posted a link for comments on the new web page design:

http://buildt.cstv.com/feedback/lafa-feedback.html

But that link is password-protected so I could not comment.  Curious.

Anyhow, assuming someone up there reads this stuff (as the great Matt Panto did at one time), I suggest making those background "wallpaper" jpeg images scalable in their frames along with the text on the rest of the page.  I'm referring (for example) to this image:

http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schoo...o_bsi_index_fifteen/11324665.jpeg

and this image:

http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schoo...o_bsi_index_fifteen/11324515.jpeg

and those similarly situated.

This would be especially helpful on laptops and tablets.  It's not difficult and I know you know how to do it.  Just put the .scale-image class inside the image-wrapper.

Just a thought.

EDIT - I see now that those jpeg images do scale at certain increments but not intermediately.  Just needs a little tweaking.

I'm not impressed. I agree with the scalable comment, but also to me it looks disorganized and unconnected. The athletic site should somehow tie all the programs together….it doesn't at least for me. Change for the sake of change is not good.

one day (hopefully soon) you guys will realize how good you have it with that team over there #RollPards

"News Stand" used to be updated daily and was my go-to source for current articles regarding the Leopards.  Hasn't been updated in over a month.

Today's marketing is centered around the concept that nobody has an attention span and we need lots of pictures.
I don't like it - but it's "modern" I guess.

We do realize it, Matt.  Early and often.  I am the first to remark that there a great many things that Lafayette does very, very well.  Sports information, including the huge amount of fresh content every day on the web site, is one of them.

But we're a dour, curmudgeonly lot and prone to hypersensitive criticism of things we could never possibly do better ourselves.

Plus we all know that nobody on College Hill ever reads this Board. Cool

Things change.  I happen to like it.  It looks fresh and sophisticated and befitting of a DI sports program that's on the ball.  I'm just having a little trouble navigating to the areas and features I want to read.  It will take some getting used to only because I was accustomed to the old style.  It certainly out-classes Lehigh's web page at this point.  And look at some of the other PL web pages, particularly Metropolitan College - kind of stodgy.

My only issue is that the background graphics don't scale too well.  It was also difficult to get quickly to the day's scores for all the teams but I think they've fixed that.

It looks good. No problems with navigation here. Mobile is a little clunky and hard to navigate though.
