My all-access feed lost the sound in the second half so I don't know who was scoring (the screen is kinda small) but I can say this: WE DOMINATED--a lot more than the 10 point win would have you believe. We beat them to the ball, we came up with key baskets every single time it looked like Princeton would challenge, we kept our poise. I know Wright and Virgin were getting some good minutes---so it's safe to say Tammy's first stab at scholarships with a full recruiting cycle is a success.
OK...before I get outta hand, we were a buzzer beater away from an 0-4 start--but something is different about this bunch. THERE IS NO REASON they can't have a good season. NO MORE EXCUSES FOR THIS PROGRAM. The talent is there.
The Maroon
18 points 9 rebounds out of Wright...Can you say "Rookie of the Year?"
I've never seen a better freshman in Maroon. I've seen enough to say say that without qualification.
Double-doubles out of Spicer and VVDV. As they go so go the Leopards.
Cowher certainly was a match-up nightmare for us---we really need to beef up the inside. It's all we're lacking to be complete.
Virgin got into foul trouble (At least two were questionable) but she's not lacking in confidence.
