Did I see something about him transferring - legit??

Maybe the closer to home thing is it, or maybe it's about PT and Klinewski probably starting? I don't know.
Good luck to the young man.

Plus next year looks like it will be tough.

I would like to see Nate starting. Maybe three guards?
It will be interesting to see how the cards are dealt.

Damn - had him starting alongside Matt K.  Good D and could step out.  BIG loss in terms of experience no matter who gets those minutes.

I see where Show at Bucknell also gone, but they have many more returning pieces to their puzzle.

Guess that partly (or totally) explains the flurry of interest in the 6'9" 2015 we heard about the other day.  If the kid decides on us and has skills there could be some PT in his near term future.

Yes, good point, seen, explains the late offer.  HATE to see Hoffman go.

Late offer kid seems hi-risk.  Back and knee injuries.  Explains his availability, I guess.

OK, so, like where is he transferring to????

Very Happy Yea,  heard this last week but hoping it was not so.  With that said I was never a Hoffman fan and think we will bounce back from this rather quickly and maybe even be better.  Always thought Mike was one of Fran's darlings but could never figure out why.  Thought he was always given much more PT than I thought he should have gotten.   With as much time as he got he ave. less than 3ppg and 2rpg.  And if you will go back and look at the tapes you will see that he was a complete defensive liability.  Let's not worry too much about this, but have however heard of a couple others that are thinking of leaving and that could cause some pain.  We will see.   GO PARDS!!!

Nick's No. 1. After him, Klinewski (somehow he is a last-name guy) and Bryce in no real order and then ... Hard to say.
Some guys will have to improve. There's potential there but I fear that "young team" monicker again.

Hoffman is going to Texas-Rio Grande Valley per:
http://www.verbalcommits.com/schools/texas-rio-grande-valley

A couple other Lafayette notes there.

So he got two years of Lafayette education, a dozen minutes in the NCAA tournament and now he's closer to home. Good luck. He always worked hard when he was in.

I'd never heard of the school and with good reason:

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is a new university that will be formed in 2015 from the consolidation of the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) and University of Texas–Pan American (UTPA).

Best of luck to the young man. He was a contributor to this years team. Hit a big 3 in the PL championship game.
Best wishes

Texas media catches up with the Pard board:

Hoffman has started all eight games for UGTRV, 8.0 ppg and 3.8 rpg.
The Vaqueros or whatever this combined team is called beat St. Francis-Brooklyn (Monday's opponent) 71-61 last week.
