Homecoming? What Homecoming?

We may have discussed this before, but what has happened to Homecoming?  There used to be raging party on March Field, but now, nothing.

I recall for several years, nobody was allowed to park on March Field during Homecoming, even though one could park there for every other home game.

This year, though, parking was allowed on March Field.  I assume the admin finally feels that they have 'killed' the tradition and have allowed cars back on the field.  However, there was no tailgating (aside from Pards Rule).

It seems like the 'party' moved to the bottom of Markle Deck.  I heard there was a big party off-campus, an extremely dangerous proposition since that's Easton territory and traffic (saw several bozos dart in and out of traffic and saw few near misses while eating on Cattell).

Did anyone else find Homecoming to be rather dead?

I agree! It was dead! Even the usual raucous "Deck" parties were tame. No music blaring, nada. I forgot they had banned cars on March for Homecoming but I dont make a point of coming specifically for Homecoming, just for the opponent, so I have missed homecomings overe the years for sure. It just now seems to be an "earmarked" game FWIW...I went over there and partied with Mark Ross and his mother and father. Now there's a group effort!! But as I pointed out I was shocked I was the sole tailgater on March! When did you think there would be one? And me at that!!! I'm certainly no party animal!
