Kansas - just don't get hurt

Patriot League play is coming up!
pards123

This one will be on ESPN3/Watch ESPN
Grandpa Tom

Very Happy What a thrill for the boys to get an opportunity to play Kansas.   Few years ago it was Kentucky.  I know the Kentucky score was pretty ugly but when these kids are 40 years old they can still look back with pride that they played two of the most storied programs in the history of college basketball.   GO PARDS!!!!

17 -10  cold shooting by the Leopards. We couldn't take advantage of the slow Kansas start and early mistakes.

We are getting looks but can't find the hole!! 26 -11 unfortunately
pards123

Ptasinski has had two three goes in and out and Hinrichs another. Unfortunate.
Pard4Life

Closing the gap a bit... can't watch it... seems like they are tough in the paint.
Lafalum

yes….., our zone is not working well against kansas passing, leaving outside shooters with open looks. Kansas bench too good for us.
Pard4Life

Ten points! Come on Pards!
Pard4Life

Man, athleticism shows. Flannigan positioned for a charge and KU guy acrobatically flys around him for the score.
Pard4Life

Trist doesn't touch the guy leads to shots and four point play to start an 8-0 run.  Ugh. Refs won't help here

Meanwhile Lehigh beat Arizona State in 3 OTs away.
ASU isn't Kansas but that is two power conference wins for Lehigh.
We certainly look better than last year but making a little noise now and then against the big guys would be nice. We will go into league play with a good record.
bison137

Lehigh is in the running for the most schizophrenic team in the nation.   In their previous game, they lost to Quinnipiac by 15 points.

The win over DePaul wasn't particularly impressive - with DePaul currently ranked #169 in the nation (Pomeroy) - but tonight's win was a lot better, beating an ASU team that was ranked 76th.
Kpard

Looked really good for some stretches, but, couldn't sustain it.
KU showed why they are #10.
Boykins stepped it up and had a nice game.
Pard4Life

Yeah, I don't know how it's possible to be encouraged by a 30 point loss, but the guys showed some grit yesterday.  Real good sign for down the stretch. And who knows... we play like we did at Kansas and we could potentially pick off a lumbering giant in March!

I'm not impressed with that Lehigh win or that ASU team.  While any win against a big conference opponent is "impressive", ASU same also lost to the 3-8 Colgate team earlier in the season.
Any team that goes 0-2 against the middle of the PL, isn't a very good team.
'Gate has played a murderous schedule including Ohio State but their stats aren't very good at all.
bethlehempard

Except ASU beat Colgate. They also beat UNLV which is 7-3.
Don't be impressed. Your call but not your facts.
Lehigh beat a PAC 12 school. Like it or not that's impressive.

You know darn well, we'd be puffed up, chests out, crowing if we beat a PAC 12 and Big East team.

Other schools seem to be able to step up when they play up.
bison137

Apparently you guys wore down Kansas.   They are trailing Temple 61-39 at the moment.
pards123

They honestly did not look like the 10th ranked squad against us. Not surprised in the least at that loss.

Note to self: Remember Kansas is not as good as their ranking come bracket time

Thank for the note. I was able to see the last two minutes as a result. Very interesting. Two TU transfers just became eligible and they're good.

BTW as for "note to self" good pun!

Go Lafayette!

Perhaps the 'Pards do deserve a little credit!

Temple and Dunphy desperately needed this win after last years nightmare. The addition of Bond was huge tonight! We've been solid but far from spectacular for the first month plus of the season. This is the type of win that can propel Temple towards a tournament bid....
