Q: What colleges recruited you besides Lafayette College and what was that process like?
Racibarskas: Bucknell, Cornell, Williams, Middlebury, Dartmouth, Washington and Lee, Connecticut College, Hamilton College. The process was fun and interesting because I did not decide whether to play Division I or III until my senior year. I looked at a lot of schools and knew exactly what I wanted in a school and in a volleyball program.
Q: Why did you choose to go to Lafayette?
Racibarskas: I decided to go here because of the girls on the team and because it was exactly the right kind of school for me.
Q: How is your volleyball experience at Lafayette?
Racibarskas: Playing here is great because of the high level of play and commitment and the girls on the team.
Q: Can you offer HS volleyball advice about getting their info out there to colleges?
Racibarskas: It helps to start looking early and to look at a lot of schools to get an idea of what you are looking for. Send letters to a lot of coaches so that you have options.
Q: What changes to expect when playing/preparing for college ball?
Racibarskas: College volleyball is a huge time commitment and it's a faster game.
Q: Why do you think you were able to play right away as a freshman? Was that a key concept in choosing the college - besides the educational stand point?
Racibarskas: I worked hard during the summer to prepare for preseason and during preseason because I knew that I would have to fight for my position on the court. I had no idea coming into it that I would get so much playing time.
Q: Could you talk about starting your first game at Lafayette?
Racibarskas: Starting in my first game here was an awesome feeling because I didn't know what to expect. It was great to be able to play right away.
Q: What do you want to accomplish this year?
Racibarskas: I want to work on not letting go of the mistakes I make while playing and not letting them affect my performance.
Q: What do you want to accomplish over your remaining years at LC?
Racibarskas: I want to improve as a player skill-wise and also have more of an emotional presence on the court.
Q: What volleyball do you plan on playing in the off season/summer?
Racibarskas: I plan on playing in the summer co-ed league again at Powerzone (Denville, NJ) during the summer and taking lessons to work on my skills.
Q: Your thought on Chatham's dream season thus far & being the 1st non-WMC Morris County Champions? (Chatham had not won Group 2 at the time of the interview.)
Racibarskas: I am thrilled that the team has had such a great season. I watched the County final game and it was so exciting to watch all of my former teammates play so well and accomplish what we had been working for during my time at CHS./////
