Lehigh Meltdown

Caught most of the stream (insert comment about "real fans" being at the game). Went into halftime thinking we had the better team. I don't know what Kevin Cassese told his squad at the break, but it must have been something along the lines of "amateur hour is over" as it was an ugly second half. Maybe emotion carried us for a half? Did they make some brilliant halftime adjustment?

Any thoughts from die-hards or are we simply too frustrated overall to weigh in on another league loss to our rivals?

From the other side, Pards outhustled us in the first half. Dominated GBs.  Lehigh came out in 2nd with more intensity. At that point on it was simply the diffrrence in talent levels and depth. Clear tho that Pards are more talented than last year and will not be a pushover.

Still have not put a full game together in all phases.  Is there improvement vs. prior years and prior games, yes - but its inconsistent.   Can Ski get this team to where they need to be - not sure.    Need some more middie help to get there.

seenalot...is totally correct..no midfield presence ...last years team lost by one..are we going backwards? #45 holds the ball way toooooooo long ...why doesn't SKI tell him to move the ball? #16 shoots way too much...the only thing better then this years team from last is the FOGO

Think defense and athleticism is substantially better.  Don't object to Sands holding ball as he is best distributor and as noted previously middies are not stepping up as real options on attack.  He is going to force it a few times as they just sit on Joseph and no one else is really burying the rock.

From my POV we seem to concede the midfield and limit our focus to the attacking and defensive third - but that might just be the soccer guy in me as it may just be more a function of getting possession being a lot more difficult in Lax than in soccer (not that it's "easy" in soccer).

What I'm saying is - if Lehigh (or any team) gets a defensive stop we seem OK with allowing them a pass on the next 45 yards of real estate until they get close to our goal. Lehigh didn't seem as willing to let us do that.

I don't think we're going backwards - we aren't exactly senior dominated. At the same time - we need a league win in the worst way. The April 9 game in Worcester looms large - and while the Crusaders are winless so far, a rundown of the scores suggest they won't be easy.

Being the 9th team - the one that does not make the league tournament - would be disastrous...Then again, it's been that kind of year.

Only six (not eight) make the PL tournament.

Agree our "ride" package is not strong.  Don't know if that's coaching or lack of middle speed, depth and experience to play it.

Thanks for the info - Not sure why they can't do 8 if there are 3 rounds but hey!
