Loyola - Chicago Opener

Nice comeback in the 2nd half for a 62-51 win.  Emily did not play.  Anyone have the word on the extent of her injury?

Impressive finish. Its always good to get that first one. Fiacco was very good as always.

Somebody decided it was a good idea to schedule 3 events back to back starting at 4:00pm. Apparently no one told the volleyball officials that their event was to start at 4:00pm. There was a one hour delay waiting for them. They still weren't there so the match started with the Army and Lafayette assistant coaches officiating.

The women's game was over an hour late starting and the basketball officials tried to make up the time by calling only 7 fouls the entire ruff and tumble first half. The lack of officiating and our playing too fast had us trailing at the break. We played much better in the second, better ball movement, better shot selection and better defense. Excellant game by Maddy Fahan, decent first game by PG O'Hare.

Ankle sprain.  Expected back Sunday for Seton Hall or Wednesday for Villanova.

Heads should roll on that one. That's not acceptable at the HS level.

Amen.  The volleyball officials snafu was absolutely absurd.  With all those administrators in the Athletic Dept., one would think it would be a matter of routine to handle these things.  Maybe that is the problem: too many administrators - just like the rest of the college.
