Monmouth Basketball

Has anyone noticed what Monmouth basketball is doing these days ? Yesterday they beat Georgetown University by 15 points on Georgetown's home court and has posted wins over Notre Dame and UCLA in road games  and a split with USC- one out there and one in a tournament. No wonder Tillotson transferred out - He's good but not that good.

Crazy.  Also does anyone recall a few years when their coach (King Rice) made some uncalled for comments about the team after we beat them?  The language wasn't as direct, but it was along the case of not allowing a bunch of white boys to beat his team.

Yes, I noticed when LCLF forced me off the road this morning while delivering food to the homeless to update me on Monmouth's success.  He was on his way to the golf course but at least he agreed to deliver some food after forcing me off the road.

No tailgate invite this season, no sausage sandwich (or three), but if your efforts went to a good cause I can live with that.

Andy, the guy's out of control. Two days ago, I was shepherding a few sheep back into pasture and he comes driving by with a car full of people screaming at me about the missing sheep. Its no wonder he's not finding any recruits.

Tillotson would have started for Monmouth the past two years - which would have been his junior and senior years.   They weren't good until this year - and Tillotson would have already graduated.   In fact, Monmouth was ranked behind Colgate last year by Pomeroy and others.

Tillotson btw played about 24 mpg as a freshman in the one year he spent at Monmouth.
