The Conneticutt Attorney General is looking into linked relationships on BOT's and seeing what liability BOT members have for oversight. Several law firms in Washington specializing in corporate liability have been engaged by colleges to look at conflict of interest policies and individual responsibilities of Board members in overseeing alternative investments according to the Chronicle of Higher Education.
With over 50% of our investments in alternative investments run by a close friend of the former chairman and former president ( at a 1/2 mio per year) and cleared through the the current chair's former employer, I think our BOT would be well advised to consult their outside counsel.
