More Reinhard coverage

http://blogs.mcall.com/sports/

Paul Reinhard continues to provide the best coverage of our favorite team.

I'm not sure what coach was referring to here:

Tavani says that because of injuries to key players, Lafayette "backed off a little bit and we got soft. I take the responsibility for that. And now I'll take the responsibility and get us hardened again."

Anyway, with the QBs live, with KOs and kick returns incorporated, and with coach's stated intention to play the young kids, this spring game has some potential to be more interesting than the lame stuff we've gotten the last few springs.

He means they stopped practicing as hard to prevent injuries toward the end of the season.

OK, for some reason I thought he was referring to in-game changes, thanks FTs.

BTW, Reinhard gives his impressions of the spring game:

I thought Rudolph stole the show offensively, with his eye catching speed and acceleration ( but was there another fumble?).  Very impressive.  We only got one carry, I believe, for Ricks, couldnt tell much there.  Everyone agree that O'Neill looks pretty darn capable?

Other than that,  this OL, missing some key components, was no match for what will continue to be one of the nation's best defenses.
