Much needed win

Coach put in a new offense tonight which took the pressure off Nick.  Good ball movement was the main difference as four players hit double digits: Rufer - 16, Lindner -13, Klinewski and Zalys - 11 each. Field goal percentage - 47%, 3pt percentage 40%, Free throw 78%. Bryce, warmed up but did not play, probably another week. Some of the freshman got extra minutes in the new offense.

Nice win but NO/ZERO/ZILCH offensive rebounds? That's hard to fathom, especially  against a team like HC.

The game started out like the Boston game but then turned around. I am beginning to really like our younger players. Linewski plays with passion. Zalys has real talent, and how about Rufer!! And Lindner is the glue!! We could be an interesting team by the end of the year!

Nice turnaround after that stinker in Boston.  Too many turnovers, horrible sequence at the end of the half, and too many shots of a sleepy Xbo in the stands (where's the energy?!).  Still, we'll take it, of course. How did HC beat Harvard?

We turned it over a lot, especially in the first half. The sequence to end the half was really frustrating. Like the effort from the guys, though. I noticed during the Army, oops, I mean Army - West Point, that Lindner was playing the 2 most of the time.
Boston just smothered him and it got us all out of whack. HC tried the same thing, but, we have obviously been working on a response to that tactic. FOH doing a nice coaching job this year given the loss of experience, youth, and injuries. Scott warmed up one handed. His right shoulder is still immobilized or so it appeared.
We need to string together some wins here.

When you shoot 47% you don't get a lot of offensive rebounds. You don't give the team any credit for outrebounding Holy Cross on the defensive end.

We had 25 missed shots in the game and got ZERO offensive rebounds. It's true that we outrebounded HC on the defensive end but that's because they missed 14 more shots than we did. Come on....ZERO offensive rebounds? Reminds me of the guy who kept finding loose change on the street. When asked how he found so many coins he said "I look for them." It would be nice if we looked for some rebounds especially against a deliberate offensive team like HC.
