I hope they got the roof fixed. This is the same kind of weather that caused the problem at last years tournament. Is there an "Official Patriot League Roofer" sponsorship? Seems like they had one for everything else.

Didn't Joe Knight major in roofing?

According to 137 on the Buffalo board, Army is actually favored in this one. Huh?

That's according to Sagarin - with Army being the beneficiary of a home court edge of almost 4 points.
Ken Pomeroy has LC as a very slight underdog as well - 49% probability of winning: http://kenpom.com/team.php?team=Lafayette
If Army shoots like they did vs Navy - 65% overall and 45% on threes - they will win. However, I don't think that kind of shooting is very likely to repeat itself.

Didn't we lose the last two times at West Point? I don't think Lafayette can reasonably be favored on the road against anyone--including DeSales.

Up by 5 with 2 mins to play! Ouch! A couple of home court calls down the stretch doomed us. We have not returned until we beat the military academies routinely, home and away. No Koltun, hurt? illness? Visockas drained some 3's. The sophs and frosh's are contributing.

This one really hurts. A coulda, shoulda. How can a team that looked so good against a superior Navy team do this - even on the road? Seven points for Brown. It looks like the defenses have his number.
With only American left in the first half, we will probably be 2-5 in league play and look an awful lot like that last place team we were predicted to be.

That call took away the basket and turned it back to Army. Fran had to be restrained by his assistants. Brown is ineffective this year. Koltun didn't put in a minute!! I thought he played resonably well ag Lehigh last weekend. Benbow returned after limping on the sidelines all last week end. This game leaves little encouragement.

We just don't have "that guy" who can get the big bucket at the end of the game or at the right time during the game, ala Ehlers, Bieg, or Burke.

This from The Mourning Crawl's basketball guru, Andre Williams, on Lehigh Valley ESPN radio yesterday:
He likes what he sees in the Lafayette team. Impressed with Willen and Mintz. Brown is a threat every night. Positive comments about one or two of the other guards.
Expects Lafayette to be a force in the second half of the league schedule.
Sees them making some noise in the league tournament. Will certainly not be a team that the big kids want to see come tournament time.
Encouraging.

The biggest thing this team is lacking is experience and they are getting two 40 minute doses of that each week. With a play here or there, they would have three more wins.

@ American
Winning on Sat. would be a major upset, but, LU took them to OT down there earlier this year and I really was not impressed with them.
Hope we can make it a game.
