My first brief impression is it is long on slogan and short on details. Many details are in the to be revealed later catagory. As I stated before I have real reservations about these new initiatives while we keep the school population constant? What does integrating the extrcurricular and social experience into the academic environment mean? How is that accomplished?? How are things prioritized??
There are more questions than answers here.

it sounds like this is the outline of a new Strategic Plan with the specific initiatives to appear later. Not having seen or read the document, it seems like they want to continue the student learning outside the classroom. More faculty-student research, service learning, community service, etc. Normally it is the Provost with assitance from the faculty that develop this plan and set the priority esp. when dealing with the curriculum.
Weis of course has a say in it but the provost is the key person here.
