Lafayette was Snow’s first Division I scholarship offer after she had already received an offer from Division II Holy Family University in Philadelphia. She had received the most interest from Vermont, Army and Holy Cross in addition to Lafayette.
“I took maybe 10 (unofficial) visits, but when I got to Lafayette, the coaching staff was great, the academics were great and everything just seemed to click,” Snow said on Tuesday evening. “They were my No. 1 school and I was just waiting for them to offer. They called me first thing this morning and it was an awesome feeling.”

Awesome.  Ms. Snow will not regret her decision.

And just think whether this would happen if the college were to extrapolate conclusions from oblique, nefariously-planted Facebook polls.

I think Coach Dianne Nolan is the best thing to happen to women's sports at Lafayette - ever.

I also think that we all owe her a little better attendance at home games.  Therefore, I hereby pledge to attend at least two Lafayette women's basketball games this year, even if it means forgoing a men's contest.

Coach Nolan has a long way to go to top Ann Gold, who coached two teams and had both of them at the top of the league every year.

I like what's goin g on in women's sports these days. Lafayette is now adjusting. Girffiths has an excellent team and playing 40 pct of his schedue with top 20 teams. Ali is got a young team and Nolan is a winner. Can't wait for the fall!!

Fair point about Ann Gold although American was not in the league for most of her tenure.  She is the "Gold" Standard by any measure.  Thanks for the reminder.
