Cut lead to 6

We lose to NJIT 80-66, same margin, 14 points, they beat PL pre-season favorite Boston U., 90-76. Both games played at NJIT.

Lindner 3-16 shooting. I hope he's not pressing? I am prepared for all sorts of ups and downs this year with this team.

NJIT is in a conference again, the Atlantic Sun. The school has shown dedication in moving up to D1 (10 years ago) and in getting an affiliation. They were independent, in a conference out west that fell apart, then independent and now with the A-Sun. Men's BB is their focus.

The conference out west was the so-called Big West.  It was formed as a very temporary marriage of convenience, with five of the seven schools being ones who were in the process of reclassifying to D1.   None of those schools intended to stay in it once they were full D1 teams. In 2014, six of the seven found new homes - in the Summit (North and South Dakota) or the WAC - which was falling apart and desperately needed more teams to survive. Only NJIT was deemed unattractive enough to not land a spot - although they certainly tried.

BTW NJIT sought membership in the PL and the NEC a few years ago.  Likely the MAAC as well.   Once they have their new arena, it is possible they could move to the NEC or possibly the AE if it loses teams.   Being in a league where all the other teams are in Florida, Georgia, etc is not a good situation.

I can actually correct bison for a change. The conference was the Great West, not the Big West
