Georgetown played Fordham tough. 17-14 loss.
Still I have to believe this is winnable based on common opponents and for the kids' sake. This can be done.

"The Battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton."  How would the Fisher Field-Kirby Field House experience compare?  Not well.

You mean on "the  playing fields of E(as)ton?"

If we were competitive and could maybe y'know... like... win(?), I would agree fully.

We are below Columbia - Have we reached the final ignominy of being ranked lower than Davidson ?
SixtyEighter

I did a little internet surfing and can answer my own questions which renders them rhetorical. We are still ranked above Davidson at least by Sagarin. Our rating is 30. Davidson is rated 4 and dead last in FCS. Also although  I don't know how it is possible  we are rated a favorite over Georgetown by Sagarin by a point or two when home field advantage is factored in.The reason I am so surprised is that Georgetown lost to Fordham but only by 3 points 17-14. As an aside Davidson has 2 wins.
Pards Rule

We used to play Davidson in my tenure in early 80s. Were they officially a member of Colonial League (precursor to Patriot) or just a convenient OOC opponent? When did we last play Davidson. We actually only won 14-0 down there in Sept 1981 in Russo's second game! Defense led by DC Joe Sarra held them out of end zone on 4 tries at goal line very very late in 4th I recall reading.

Spreads:
Fordham +9 at Lehigh
...
Lafayette +6 at home versus Georgetown, o/u 45 1/2. It's a good thing we have scholarships.
...
Holy Cross +9.5 at Colgate
Bucknell +26.5 at Charleston Southern

Yale and Columbia is a pick'em
CCSU -2.5 at Robert Morris (Road Trip!)
Incarnate Word +3.5 vs. Stephen F. Austin
William Jewel College +22.5 at Indianapolis (can we get WJC for our open date?)
From sportbet.com

*Davidson was in the Patriot League for football in 1987-88? They are avowedly anti-scholarship for football. It's a noble moral stance, selfless even, akin to that that taken by our friends at Georgetown.

But Davidson had no problem giving a full ride to Steph Curry, I suspect.

What a year NOT to have Yale on the schedule!
