Confirmed on first as I know dad of Chris roommate. Also the RB roommate is visiting the Hill this coming week. Im doing my best campaigning for the Pards with dad - we need a legit complement to Ross!
Andy

CB looks like he knows what he's doing at LB, good player.

i need prep school for Nemoyer whom I assume is a DL prospect.

Rich, i may have it wrong, but looks like nemoyer listed as AS 2nd last year (2010) as a sr at canisius.

Barr I've read (posted in another thread) will walk on at PSU.

yeah, here it is:
Mechanicsburg senior LB Bryton Barr turns down 10 offers for preferred walk-on at Penn State

I don't know... a 240lb OL? Are we starting to recruit OL like Gtown?

Bad move by Barr... I'd rather lose him to Toledo than a PSU walk-on... what a waste.  I knew a kid in HS who had looks from Harvard, Ivys and PLs and opted for a walk-on spot at PSU. Never made past the sixth string QB spot.  If you want to be a coach maybe it's a good move though.

I cant find a reference to an offer for Nemoyer, this is from 2010:

Tom NeMoyer
School: Canisius Position: OL

Height: 6-1 Weight: 240 Year 12

Trench Trophy finalist. Opened holes for 1,500-yard rusher Mercer Timmis. Had a big game in win over Walsh Jesuit. Three-year starter. Also contributed at DE and DT. Carries a 3.4 academic average. Considering Stony Brook, Rhode Island and Lafayette; he will study engineering.
Andy

The excellent U of Delaware fan site list of recruits contains 3 kids who mention interest from LC, they are all QBs.  Hmmm
Pard4Life

We need QBs... I know we are into North Penn's QB, who should be playing in the AAAA finals this weekend... key into PCN if you can.

We have four:
Shoop - can't handle crowds
ZZ - quick learner, untested, sounded like he forced throws from the JV reports
Ohz from Ohio - injured
Surfer Dude - unreliable

Andy,

I would bet on NeMoyer being a DL . As far as I could see he was on A-S 2nd

Graduated from Canisius in June, if he has an offer he must have gone to prep school.
RichH

Perhaps so but in searching cannot find him for this year.  All Area and All County teams starting to appear.Sometimes good info on what offers kids are getting. StarLedgerstarting theirs on sunday

Dont have to register to search database.

Start here:

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/recruit-search

Make sure "2012" database. Scroll down and enter the college. Just leave other variables as "any".  Hit enter.

Problem is at our level the big recruit service lists are of little value.  ESPN list Finelli as committed to gate, Rivals also shows the OL from FLA.

CR the local South Jersey paper might have carried it Cherry Hill Courier-Post (courierpostonline.com) Just do a search function.

And Coen was worried that the playoffs give a recruiting head start to the other teams.  Use that search to check out Lehigh's list compared to ours.  It may not mean much but it has to mean something!!!! WTF?

Smile I wouldn't be too concerned. Heck , check out Bucknell's list.

Very Happy  Yup, Rivals list
Franks Tanks

As we know PL schools recruit within the same pretty small pool of kids.  We all recruit the Northeast and VA/MD area.  Holy Cross dips into Ohio a bit more, Colgate and Lafayette go down to Florida, and it appears Lehigh is making connections in the midwest.  My main point is that several PL schools are typically recruiting a certain player.  That players fills out his rivals profile, and list which schools he is interested in.  It doesn't necessarily mean the school is also interested, but generally the player has at least talked to the coaches at the schools on their list.   We appear to be drawing no interest from kids who are showing interest in our league mates.  Two back to back crappy years probbaly has a lot to do with this.

If we bomb on this recruiting class, and have another poor year on the field we can be back in the dark years.  Our league mates are moving forward, and we seem to be stuck in neutral.

Bucknell-- Joe Susan knows what he is doing.  He runs a first class football organization, and knows where to look for players.  He is recruiting in Texas and several states we never go.  He knows how to structure the recruiting process, and is attracting talent.

Holy Cross-  Once again this year we lost to a Crusaders team that has equal or lesser talent.  Their coaches are just better than our coaches.

Lehigh- They have greater financial aid resources, and don't have an administration that hates football.  After two great years recruits will be flocking to South Bethlehem.

Colgate- I actually think Colgate is more like is than we realize.  They also have a football hating faculty, and administration.  They however have better coaches and better financial aid resources.

We attract many good players, but not quite enough to compete properly or fill in when guys get injured.  We are hurt by aid reductions and Weiss and co.  When we have equal or better talent we still lose far too often.  Bucknell, Holy Cross, and Georgetown did not have better talent last year, but they made way less mistakes and played better as a team.

I am somewhat hopeful that the 2012 Leopards will be better, but I feel we absolutely need a good year or the situation may get very bad.
Pard4Life

If we have another bad year, Tavani losses my support.

The New Jersey all-state teams have no mention of LC recruits, though they are surprisingly terse overall.

Anybody have question about the Bison commitment to football?  This is the type of player we should be seeing on the "interested" list:  Nick Golz, DePaul, 6-5, 292, Senior
Guard helped lead Passaic County's leading offense, averaging 407 yards per game, contributing 35 pancake blocks. He is being recruited by Bucknell, Rutgers, Towson and Villanova... 1st-Team All-State

Dominic Velardi, 6-1, 285, West Essex, 1st-Team All-State OL, 3rd-Team All-State DL... offers from Delaware, Monmouth, Wagner... http://www.nj.com/hssports/blog/f...county_season_in_review_2011.html

1st-Teamers All-Middlessex:  Ryan James, Piscataway, 6-3, 290, Senior
The OL who is being recruited by Ivy League and Patriot League schools, missed three games and his team was 1-2. With James in the lineup, Piscataway went 9-0 and won a second straight sectional title. James' blocking helped Piscataway set school records in total yards (4,065) and first downs (187), while RB Tevin Shaw rushed for a school record 304 yards in the title game.

Bryan Stonkus, South Brunswick, 6-3, 250, Senior
This OL, a four-year starter being recruited by Temple, Penn, Bucknell, New Haven and Lehigh, was the man his team ran behind the most. South Brunswick, which won 10 games for the first time in history, racked up 2,892 rushing yards for an average of 263 per game with 45 touchdowns.

Brendan Wilson, South Plainfield, 5-11, 195, Senior
The QB/LB, being looked at by several Patriot League schools, completed 72 of 159 passes for 1,030 yards and six touchdowns, he rushed 119 times for 795 yards and nine touchdowns, he intercepted three passes, he punted for a 35.3 average and he kicked 13 extra points.

Keep an eye on:  Dennis Bencsko, a senior inside linebacker from Delbarton, had a season that was among the finest by a Morris County defensive player over the past decade. The 6-0, 200-pounder had 104 solo tackles, 44 assists, 23 tackles for a loss, 13 sacks, 10 hurries, two pass breakups, one fumble recovery, four interceptions and two touchdowns, one on a fumble recovery and the other on an interception. He's received recruiting interest from mostly FCS schools.

Chris Villante registered 117 tackles, with four sacks and an interception for Kinnelon (5-5). The 6-1, 210-pound linebacker is being targeted by schools in the Patriot League and Northeast Conference.

Lincoln HS:  RB/DB/WR Teddy Spann tallied 1,003 all-purpose yards with 11 TDs and is looking at Bucknell, Georgetown, Marist and Wesley

Kalyph Hardy, Central Regional HS:  Following his 5,008-yard career, Hardy has received interest from Rutgers, Towson, Fordham, Monmouth, Kean and Montclair.  28 TDs Shore Conference record, broke Knowshon Moreno's record.

Ha! You're assuming Bucknell doesn't have their S**T together.  Like FT said, Susan knows what he's doing and BU is definitely on the radar of more recruits than LC.  Most people outside the Lehigh Valley don't know we exist.

From what im hearing is that we have  more money for recruiting and financial aid this year than in the last ten years, and are involved with more recruits than in the past years. Im also hearing we should be at 60 equivilency's by 2014 and are looking to book an FBS opponent by 2014.So stop all this doom and gloom, just look how we turned it around before in 2003.We have the best facilities in the PL by far, all we need to do is fund football like the other PL schools. Happy Holidays and Go Pards!!!

I'm with P4L.  We've had a string of mediocre recruiting years and, from what I'm reading here, there is no reason yet to believe that we are moving to higher ground with this next class.  I don't care how big the kid is or how thrilling those 3 plays on his posted video are, if nobody else was pursuing him, we shouldn't be giving Frank those annual attaboys.

Ok, that's Dan Harding.

Harding has recently received renewed interest from Penn State, according to Nazareth coach Rob Melosky. Several Patriot League and Colonial Athletic Association programs also are pursuing Harding.///

Tommy Bodulus  QB/DB  Daniel Boone HS  6'1" 192

So well, in fact, that he just may be remembered as one of the best who ever played at Daniel Boone, especially after being named the Berks Football League’s Offensive Back of the Year and (that’s right and) Defensive Back of the Year … not to mention The Mercury’s Player of the Year.

On defense, the 6-foot-1, 192-pound senior was credited with 101 tackles, including one sack. He intercepted one pass, forced two fumbles, recovered one and, what many may not have noticed, forced a lot of opposing coaches to scheme away from him. On offense, he not only completed 140 of 223 attempts for 1,775 yards and 19 touchdowns, but kept the ball himself 241 times in running for an additional 1,352 yards and 19 touchdowns....

"Tommy started out in (the youth program) at Boyertown," Dave Bodolus said of his son, who is being recruited by a number of Ivy and Patriot league schools, with Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross and Lafayette leading the race right now. "By the time he was in sixth grade he was playing running back, receiver … just about every position./////

Waterford senior Y-Kim Sheppard had 27 tackles as a starting defensive back. He also gained 727 yards and six touchdowns, named to the All-ECC Medium Division team. Sheppard, who also participates in indoor and outdoor track, is an honor student who is interested in Lafayette, Georgetown, Central Connecticut, Brown and Lehigh.

Neither group looked all that impressive on paper, but we all know how that goes.  Giving Loose and Fein their due, just consider the freshmen that had some impact this past season and/or have our hopes up for the future:

Shane Black
Luke Chiarolanzio
James Coscia
Matt Gill
Damarcus Ingram
Austin O'Brien
Kyle Ohradzansky
Ross Scheuerman
Zach Zweizig

I'm sure I missed one or two, but that's a pretty impressive list as it stands.
