*2016 opponent

Army* is No. 94 in the FBS. Perhaps beating us hurt them.

While Lafayette was making excuses, Lehigh was getting into the top 25.

I'm having a "Brunch with the Blowout" on the DVR and I do think we've had games as bad or worse in the past couple years, based on those embarrassments being against FCS opponents. At least it wasn't a shutout.

If we're being "real" - we're probably just about where we thought we would be right now. The schedule is/was brutal this year.  I thought we could show better against HC without Pujols, but that's really it. For a while this season we were actually showing better - although the fact that we never got the rungame going, we knew we could only go so far.

It's now about finding things to build on - finding SOMETHING.  I was worried the schedule might beat down their psyche by this point, and the last two weeks have been torture - now they have to find a way to rally.

137 is not very good but it is a home game for them.  Interestingly, LC football has 2 (count 'em) wins the last two seasons, both on the road.  Maybe that will inspire them.

This is being treated as though it were a bye week. Time to think about the possibility of righting a listing ship.  This is the biggest week of the season.
So, here is some information from Tuesday's press luncheon.

Remember the Bucknell game of five years ago? Halloween weekend ... the snow bowl. It was not pretty. Google it, if you have the stomach to read about it. That night was, in my opinion, worse than what we've experienced the past two weeks. The good news: no snow is predicted for Saturday afternoon in Lewisburg.

Sorry, but Frank's comments are garbage.  What can't you run the ball Frank?  Well he says it's the line and the backs, they aren't performing.  But don't worry Frank is evaluating.  He has been evaluating for 7 years.  Someone please ask why he can never run the ball, and evaluates every year.  Well scheme is bad and coaching and development stinks . There you go Frank.

Why do the DB's struggle..well they are freshman and will be very good someday. Guy's been saying this for years but we are never any good.  Enough already.

No snow, but unfortunately cold and windy with a chance of rain.  If you want good news - from the LC perspective - Bucknell is likely to be starting a non-recruited freshman, John Chiarolanzio at QB.  He was 4th on the depth chart at the start of the season, but the other Qbs have been hurt.  There is a chance that RJ Nitti, who suffered a serious ankle injury early in Game 2 could be back however.  More good news for LC is that Chiarolanzio's brother is on the LC coaching staff and presumably knows his weaknesses very well.

For more good news, Bucknell is missing an All-PL DT, an All-Pl RB, and an All-PL,punter. In fact, Bucknell is down to their 4th string punter and 3rd string PK - neither of whom were recruited as a kicker.   In recent weeks, BU is averaging 25 yards net per punt and has missed 4 of 5 FGs from inside 42 yards.    Team is also missing a number of other starters. I expect a close game, and if Nitti doesn't  play I think an LC win is a good possibility.  LC will have a huge advantage in the kicking game, which could be decisive.

...tough night, about 10 of us freezing in the stands. Tough drive home, too. I was told that the ball felt like a 10 pound ice block.

I doubt that he knows it's time for change. He his staff and the admin live on the College Hill Bubble of No Accountability.

That's the hell of it. It is at least remotely possible - if not likely - we'll be dealing with this crap another year.

Frank had all the excuses in the world - but there is not a SINGLE ONE that he can use should he lose this weekend. Can't beat HC with a 3rd string QB? Bucknell's going with a walk-on.

The hell of it is - if we beat Bucknell Frank is going to celebrate like his hard work is paying off. He seems to expect other teams to put an asterisk by their wins over us because we have injuries, or youth.

Wow - Frank's well of excuses may run dry.

We have a good chance to win this weekend. Cards couldn't stack up better for us.

Curious why we did not get Luke's brother on campus as a Leopard.

Coach, why are freshmen playing? What happened to the DBs in the 3 previous scholarship classes?  Is there accountability in your evaluation skills/spending?

I was going to ask if this was Luke's brother. 137 said he is an unrecruited freshman. My guess is that he is a walk on. As much as we all loved Luke and as well as he played for us I remember hearing that he was essentially a no need walk on. If you are his brother and going to pay full boat anyway you are probably going to go somewhere that isn't as crowded at QB and may be a better fit culturally.

Yea, that slipped me. Totally forgot that angle. You are correct. My mistake. I should have thought of that.

If the weather isn't terrible I'm going tomorrow. The latest forecast indicates no afternoon rain. Can anybody recommend a place for lunch and drinks in Lewisburg?
Last league win: 150. Nov. 22, 2014.
Last win in Easton: Georgetown Oct. 11, 2014.

I'm leaving for 137 land very early Saturday Morning to see the FH Game and the FB.  Hope to see some of you there.

46 and rain just ended. Dreary and cool here in Lewisburg.
Free parking downtown.
Bull Run Tavern. Good beer selection.
Bogus Megapardus

Lafayette College will lose by four touchdowns or more, further humiliating its alumni and long-time fans in the process.

Comfortably Numb.
bethlehempard

Drunken Bison fans say Nitti will play. Not at the stadium yet. Finishing a flight of local stuff.

Lafayette-Lehigh attendance impacted by all this losing?

Ridiculously small crowd. I'm second runner-up for homecoming queen.

He was there I assume, we lost 3-0. It was reported that Bruce was there as well but left before the end. I would guess ed 65 is finding somewhere to blot out this bleak Saturday.
