Pards down TowsonThe Pards got balanced scoring, just enough foul shooting, and battled even on the boards in downing Towson 70-63. Andrew Brown led the way with 20 and was followed by Gruner with 11, Benbow, Kari, & Willen with 9 each and Mintz with 8.
It was a physical game with Kari ending uo with 12 stitches above his eye from an elbow. Brown and Towson freshman G Frankilin squared off in the first half with each getting a T. A total of 44 personals were called.
Towson took an early 11 point lead at the 15:01 mark of the first half but the Leopards rallied to lead by 3 at the half. Pards controlled the second half leading by 10 most of the way. The Tigers closed it to 5 when Koltun and Gruner missed 4 of 5 FTs. Brown made 6 straight from the line in the closing minute.
Nine payers got double-digit minutes as the scoring and rebounding was well spread out. Princeton up next on Tuesday.

I thought this game would be on RCN, but, had to listen on the radio. Glad to see we got another W. Koltun seems to be logging some more minutes in the last couple of games. We need to shoot on the road like we do at home! I think a .500 PL season could be attainable.
