Playoffs

The Patriot League has listed the 16 possible results from this weekends play and the matchups they will produce. You can use the Patriot League Blog link above to get to them.

Rather than go through them all, it comes down to if we win we get a first round home game. There is also one result where we get a first round home game if we lose. Lets do something the easy way for once and WIN.

Correction:  a win does not necessarily lock down a 1st round home game.  From the Patriot League website:

The Leopards are guaranteed of a quarterfinal home game with a victory over American on Saturday unless Lehigh, Colgate and Bucknell win in the other Patriot League contests. They can still receive a quarterfinal home game in that scenario, but the tie for fourth place with Bucknell would be broken by the Collegiate Basketball News RPI rating that comes out late Sunday morning.

Still looks good though if we win.  Latest RPI:

173 Lafayette .4959
209 Bucknell .4732

Just for the heluvit, here are the Patriot League RPI rankings:

110 American
142 Holy Cross
145 Colgate
173 Lafayette
200 Navy
209 Bucknell
235 Lehigh
236 Army

If you're a Pard fan, it's better than good since it's mathematically impossible for Bucknell to even come close to making up that gap in one game no matter what happens in other games.

Hey! Let's all put our faith in the God Almighty RPI, cause that's realistic. The team with the 5th highest RPI could be our league's #1 seed!
