Rest of the League

I don't know if you have seen the rest of the League. Fordham played a shameful game with Elizabeth State, they would have had a better game from a decent high school team. 83 points are you kidding me. Lehigh lost to Villanova. Bucknell  lost to Duquesne. Georgetown is 2-0. Holy Cross lost to New Hampshire.
The league may be up for grabs by the time we really get into it. If we stay healthy!!

The league may be up for grabs but with no offense we're not in it....I have no trust in this coaching staff ! 3 time outs left and the hens facing 3rd and long with about 90 seconds to go in the half and Frank doesn't call timeout WTF was that ? That's just a basic football strategic call, did it show a lack of confidence in our offense ( senior quarterback ) or Franks incompetent game day decisions? This is a no excuses season! GOPARDS!!!

There is a "wheels fall off" component to Lafayette football in the last two years that is totally alarming.

While I don't blame Reed for yesterday's loss, the day when we have to move on is fast approaching.  Frank, you need two more wins to stay. Can you do it with Drew?  (We have choices at qb; no such luck at OL.)

Hold on - is 3-8 all he has to do to extend this mess? If it were any other program in the world I would scoff at the idea. Now - it would fit right in.

I think coaching travel soccer as a volunteer has less job security than being a coach at Lafayette.

OK - I'm ticked and concerned but the fact is we are exactly where we thought we'd be at this point. I had us going 4-7 this season and this definitely wasn't one I had us winning.

If we don't get it done at Princeton next week then 4-7 will be the ceiling.

Same old-same old. Opponent cashed in opportunities and we didn't. 3 points off a turn over at the Delaware 11 when  we manage only 8 yards. How many possessions extended by defensive penalties by Delaware and we have to punt anyway ? Meanwhile they turn the game on a short punt that gives them possession on the 50 and never look back. Plus they dropped two or three td passes. This was kind of a mirror image of last week's game where the better team struggled early then burst the dam.One major concern- Drew's best game last year was against Wagner. This year it was against CCSU ,an NEC opponent like Wagner. Also the end of period and end of game interceptions are bad play for a senior QB.The Last pick was all on him as far as I could tell- he had time and just threw it to the defender with 2 of our guys seemingly open in the end zone.Another bad omen - we are headed into death valley for us. I think the last time we won in Princeton Ryan Priest was a freshman and ran back 2 punts  or a KO for td's- possibly 1982.
