Squawks @ KSC

The Bethlehem Brown arguably played their best game of the year against AU over the weekend. Kempton & Co. will be a handful. Hoping for a big student turnout to help our guys out.

BEAT LEHIGH!

That would be nice!  I know of a couple old folks heading down from NY State in a few hours.  GO PARDS!

Don't get your hopes up with the students.  Their support (as far as numbers) has been terrible.  I feel bad for the players to see such a lack of support from their classmates.

Well, that certainly didn't go very well. Disappointed in the result and the lack of energy in the building. For a rivalry game it was somewhat flat. Plenty of students but no noise.

This team can drive you crazy.

Pains me, but have to credit the opponent, using their athleticism to cause TO's and block shots on the perimeter and at the rim.

Yeah, students showed up but didn't make a peep until a "Defense" cheer with a few mins left.

Reed gesturing to a recruit sitting behind our bench on the way out.  Class act....

"Gesturing"  - my interpretation would be "see what we just did, come with us."  Walk off the court and email the kid...he should include that Fran has beaten him 5 out of last 7.

Pains me as well, especially THAT school, but, they played well. We made a ton of unforced turnovers in the second half. 4 or 5 passes to no one or errant passes that weren't catchable.

We just do not play defense well enough to make a stop when we need one or two. It also didn't seem to be our night. When we did get an opportunity to we turned it over or the missed shot or deflected ball bounced to them.

The Evans kid continues to impress on both ends of the floor. If he has a jump shot, he hasn't shown it. If he doesn't have one, he needs to develop one because it will make him really difficult to defend if he's a threat from outside too. Has a nice strong move to the hoop and a big first step.

I don't know if it is the frustration of the losing streak, but, I don't sense a lot of togetherness from this team. I have nothing to base that on, but, there is something lacking.

I fully expected to be in the bottom half, but, not the very bottom. Ugh!

I am at a loss to explain the precipitous fall of this team. Other teams in the league lose seniors sometimes in numbers as we have but still mange to remain competitive. We have gone from league champs to league doormats.Losing over and over by double digits  is by definition non - competitive.
I saw Pesident Byerly in the stands watching the game and I felt like emailing her . I saw her at most football games as well. I wanted to ask her the rationale behind being in the league and not being competitive in most sports year after year. Possibly things may change with all the large classes of recruits this year but I don't know if that is happenstance or part of a plan to gain respectability.
Time will tell.

This was a Lehigh game and the student energy was abysmal. Our second half lacked power. I still think, as this group matures, they will be a handful but like many of our teams second halves seemed to be left in the locker room.

I thought we took a step forward last night even though we lost. We were only 5 down with 8 minutes to play.  When you are behind you have a tendency to try to make it up on one possession. We started to play too fast, creating 5 turnovers in the final 8 minutes.

Coach O starting to give the freshmen more PT and they responded with some nice plays. The future looks bright.
