Ten Days!

It's nearly upon us.  Lafayette sports begin in ten days with WSoc facing NJIT at home at Oaks on August 24 at 7:00 PM.

WSoc at home vs. Pitt at Oaks on August 28; Field Hockey (Lafayette's best, most nationally-competitive team) faces Ball State at home at Rappolt on August 30.  Amanda Magadan, anyone?

Nice.  It's been too long!

I'm excited to see Ms. Magadan exert her leadership on the pitch.  She's an impressive young woman and I believe she possesses the chops to help guide this team to the next level.

Any thoughts as to which of our 22 athletic teams has a shot at a winning season?

I'm looking at FH to have a good year.  It's a tough schedule, but if they can start strong that should help carry them through league play at the end.

FB should do it. If WBB -- last winning season was 97-98? -- gets it done, Coach Grentz should get a statue.
From Pat Fisher 18 years ago through the era of Madame X and then the Nolan improved years, it's been a long time coming.

PS - I think there are 23 sports.

If WBB has a winning season, at the very least Grentz should be national coach of the year.   I think hitting double digits in wins would be a good first season.   It is going to take time to get the talent level up to standard PL talent.   Losing Homan is a huge loss, and Macklin and Peabody will also be missed.
