Third Recruit

According to ESPN Women's Basketball Recruiting, our third recruit is Jazmin Hayes a 6'1" PF from Cinti Mount Notre Dame HS in Ohio. You can see her on YouTube at Jazmin Hayes + basketball + ohio.  Video shows her at the 5 but with Fiacco and Holman it looks like she'll be a 4.

Now that Kreuser's gone, maybe Fiacco can come over to play for Fran!?  Wink  Rolling Eyes  Laughing

Sounds great! I was impressed to read that Troyan had signed a girl rated 3* 85, #69 at her position.  Well, Jazmin 3*, 85 rating, 70!  Impressive back to back classes for Coach Nolan.

Lafayette picks up a three-star inside player for 2012

Can't remember the last time the girls has their recruiting completed before Fran.  Way to go coaches!

I believe that's Ms. Hayes in the back row - #24.

Can we sign Nolan to a ten-year deal please?

Per today's release, "Hayes was sidelined due to injury as a senior but is expected to make a full recovery prior to joining the Leopards."

Apparently had ACL surgery following her jr year and reinjured it.  Not great news re a player who recruiting service analysts mentioned needed to continue to develop her game. At best her progress has suffered a year's delay.

Bernie Williams daughter apparently headed to Hopkins.

Having gone through a couple of ACL surgeries/rehabs with my own kids, I hate to see that happen.     Also, unfortunately, a player who has had two torn ACL's (assuming they were the normal female non-contact tear) is statistically much more likely to do it a third time to either knee - regardless of which knee has had the surgery.

Let's not forget about Kelly Loughney, the transfer forward from NYU who came from Hunterdon Central High School in New Jersey.

Ms. Loughney played some very significant minutes as a freshman at NYU (albeit against DIII competition).  Here are her season stats from 2010-11:
