No basis for rumors.  MLax is simply a much stronger recruiting point for the kinds of students the Spiders seek, particularly around Baltimore and in the northeast.

"Men's lacrosse is an excellent fit for the University and will be well positioned to compete for conference championships and attain national recognition."

But the A-10 does not sponsor MLax.  Where will they compete?  CAA affiliate would be my guess (Delaware, Hofstra, Drexel, UMass, Penn State, St. Joe's, Towson - all full scholie MLax). Wait for the announcement.

That said, I remain hopeful that Bruce McCutcheon and Coach Rogalski are taking notice.  Richmond is a newcomer.  Lafayette has played varsity lacrosse for over 100 years.  You would think . . .

I hate to be negative but I expect Richmond, Boston U and Furman to be better than us in 3 years (or sooner).

Boston U. - perhaps.  Not Richmond or Furman.  Remember, "better than" will be relative in three years.  Lafayette will be playing in the toughest MLax conference in the nation (the ACC technically isn't a lax conference).  The Pards' W-L record wont be as impressive because of our brutal in-league schedule.  But we'll still be a much better team.

Or maybe the ACC of lacrosse.   Laughing

LOL  much more apt comparison. As the resident lax guru, will lax in the NE keep expanding or will it move West. I was looking at rosters for ND, Denver  most from NE.
