WBB Recruit

If you get the Pennsylvania Cable Network on your cable, you will be able to see Lafayette's PG recruit Sammy Stipa play in the PIAA 4A Championship game at 6:00pm on Friday.

To add to Newxbo's post there is a nice little article on Sammy Stipa in this morning's Philadelphia Inquirer.

To  reply to myself , Sammy Stipa although apparently playing injured did not play well in the championship game . In fact she looked like she will fit right in at Lafayette. I hope I am wrong but she commited turnovers, missed layups and contributed with poor play to the opponent building a commanding lead. The championship game looked a lot like the mens' team's last two losses to Colgate and BU. Still, since she was "only at 75%" she deserves the benefit of the doubt.S he left the game with about 3-4 minutes to go after banging knees with one of the opponents fighting for a rebound. My hope is that she can grow into a female Lindner.

This is another reply to myself - Sammy Stipa received an award from the Inquirer today as the Southeast PA player of the year. The article is in this morning's Inquirer.Hopefully the championship game was just one bad game due to nagging injuries. According to the selection  commentary she is the greatest thing since sliced bread.I hope they're correct .

Pards received a verbal commitment from point guard Nia Holland.  Shipley HS, Bryn Mawr.
