What's the Mood?

The total absence of activity on this board indicates to me that I am not alone in my sinking feeling, not only about this season, but about the overall state of the football program.  Comments?
Lafalum

My concern extends not only to the football program but the athletic progaram  in general. The cuts have been greater than the 3% per year as some sports have been asked to go to a previous baseline and cuts in roster size in some sports are not considered part of the 3%.
There have been specific threats made to fundraisers and our largest donors to restrict their fundraising activities because the school "has other uses for their money"
That my friends is the honest truth!

You da man when it comes to insider big picture stuff.  You are also getting to be da man when it comes to letting the air out of the balloon.  Any good news?  How's the Dean of Diversity making out?

Wow, that's a good way to chase away those donors!  Unbelievable...

I love this school and I believe it has never reached its full potential, athletically or academically because the same people make the same mistakes year after year, administration after adminstation. My prayer is they will soon go away so we can start moving ahead on all fronts. I still give, and I will ignore the idiots, but my money goes where I think it will do the most good and I work hard to make sure that happens!!

Well, its official now Carney. The team the experts picked to go undefeated and win the PL, knock off Villanova, and go deep into the playoffs has lost to some unknown NEC school. Air Lehigh was 7 of 29 on pass plays with 3 ints.  The ground game racked up 62 yards. they were out possessed 43 minutes to 17.  If the top team takes this kind of a beating not much can be expected from the rest of us.  Maybe we should just cancel the season and save the money for the new open air art center along the Bushkill Creek.

G'town

Georgetown, predicted last in PL, went into the 4th quarter leading HC, predicted first in PL, 7-6, then collapsed. I predict we need to be sharp next week.

Thanks, Rich.  Here's the link:

Oh yeah, RichH proves that good things are happening at Lehigh - just not on the Goodman campus.

The leadership of the school and more importantly the leadership on the BOT have let us down. This is not a pretty article!!

We share the same sentiments Lafalum... not reaching our potential. I am also just unenthusiastic and disappointed about the direct of the school and athletics overall.   As for football, we will do well, but I fear the same result as last year... a loss to Colgate and maybe Holy Cross... and Harvard.
